Shower Turns Deadly: Bengaluru Woman and Unborn Child Succumb to Gas Leak
Bengaluru: A young woman and her unborn child tragically lost their lives in a heartbreaking incident on Saturday in Ashwath Nagar, Bengaluru. Ramya, 23, succumbed to gas poisoning while taking a shower, a consequence of a malfunctioning gas geyser that leaked toxic fumes, including carbon monoxide.
According to Kannada Prabha online report, Ramya, accompanied by her four-year-old child, entered the bathroom when the gas leak occurred. The toxic fumes quickly overwhelmed her, causing her to collapse and lose consciousness. Family members, alerted by the child’s distress, rushed to the scene and immediately called for emergency services.
Ramya was swiftly transported to a nearby hospital, where medical personnel made every effort to revive her. Despite their diligent efforts, however, Ramya tragically succumbed to the harmful effects of the gas exposure. And the four year old child is still receiving treatment at the hospital.
The tragedy deepened as medical professionals confirmed that the toxic fumes had also fatally affected Ramya’s unborn child. The news of the double loss has plunged the family into profound grief and left the community in shock.
